San Pedro de la Nave
40 km from Manganeses, the church of San Pedro de la Nave is one of the finest examples of Visigothic architecture on the Iberian Peninsula. Built between the 7th and 8th centuries, it was moved stone by stone in 1930 to save it from the rising waters of the Ricobayo reservoir.
Its historiated capitals — featuring Daniel in the lions' den and the sacrifice of Isaac — are unique in Hispanic Visigothic art. A World Heritage candidate, declared a National Monument since 1912.

The Zamora Romanesque route
